Larkspur

Redwoods and Waterfront Views

One of the most spectacular features of houses in Larkspur is the scenery surrounding them. Redwoods rule in Larkspur. In Baltimore Park and Baltimore Canyon, giant redwoods grow straight out of the road, while the streets gently curve their way around these massive trees.

Tucked away under the redwoods beneath Mount Tamalpais, Larkspur boasts a great dining scene. The main street, Magnolia Avenue, is a vibrant destination for food lovers who frequent restaurants such as Pizzeria Picco, Emporio Rulli, and the Left Bank Brasserie. The Lark Theater, also on Magnolia, has been restored to its art-deco glory by a community effort and screens first-run films.

The Larkspur and Corte Madera Creek paths run a few blocks parallel to Magnolia on a former railroad right-of-way and are popular with families, dog walkers, and bikers on their way to Point Reyes.

Neighborhood

Magnolia Avenue is the main drag through town and acts as the hub for this charming, vintage town.   You can find a mountain side home in the redwoods, a turn of the century cottage right in town, or an estate parcel with grand proportions.  There is no shortage of options in Larkspur.

Dining and Entertainment

Start with a bottle of Rosé and the salad niscoise at the Left Bank. On Bastille Day, wine is half price. Then stroll down to Rulli Bakery for exquisite Italian baked goods. Equator Coffee offers a terrific Macchiato for your mid-day jolt.
