San Rafael, CA 94901

Resort living in San Rafael. Welcome home to a truly turn-key oasis on the water. Located on a quiet, cul-de-sac, this gated property has been meticulously renovated. The home features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There is a formal living room centered around a fireplace, as well as the adjacent, more casual family room. Both of course have windows overlooking the water. A generous, stylish kitchen is flanked on one side by the family room, and the other a formal dining room. The layout is perfect for entertaining, or just everyday life. The master bedroom overlooks the patio, facing the water and boasts beautiful built-ins which incorporate storage and a great work space.   There is a walk-in closet, and an en suite master bathroom.

The two additional bedrooms share a full bath which was recently remodeled as well. There is a separate laundry room and pantry which then leads to the attached garage. Inside the gated property there is room for additional off-street parking.

The entire home is surrounded by lush, mature plantings creating a sense of privacy throughout. Use the level lawn out front, or the large entertaining deck overlooking the water, which boasts all day sun. Of course, walk down to your private dock where you can take your boat, or kayaks out and explore the bay!

Neighborhood

San Rafael is large, diverse, eclectic, and historic. That history stretches from California's beginnings, with the 1817 founding of Mission San Rafael on the old El Camino Real, to the construction of the eye-popping Marin Civic Center in the 1960s. Designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the Civic Center was completed in 1962 and is so futuristic that it pops up in science-fiction films.

San Rafael still looks to the future thanks to a vibrant downtown redevelopment effort. The focal point of downtown is the Smith Rafael Film Center, which features a state–of-the-art multiplex cinema that screens independent and foreign films.  Cuisine is eclectic: within a few blocks of 4th Street diners can find sushi, Indian, Thai, Italian, Mexican, and Puerto Rican food. Thursday afternoons in the spring and summer find 4th Street hosting a farmers market, which features live music.
